Motion capture, also sometimes called motion tracking, records people’s or objects’ movements. You’ve probably seen the results of motion capture in movies! It requires using specialized hardware and software to capture and process movements, but as in many new technologies, capabilities are changing quickly. Motion capture or tracking is also used by the Microsoft Kinect as a way for a user to interact with a computer system.
