Training

The Center for Instructional Technology (CIT) provides training through scheduled events and workshops on instructional technologies and teaching topics as well offers custom training (for groups of 3 or more faculty) and office visits (for 1 or 2 faculty) about specific instructional technology questions and needs.

The CIT also has an Instructional Technology Lab that may be used by faculty, academic support and library staff to create digital and multimedia materials for use in teaching.

Faculty can request in classroom training for their class through the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Training - OnDemand training program. Student groups may also make training requests. Topics available include learning how to use the tools and technology related the Duke Digital Initiative such as iMovie, digital video camera and tripod overview, Flip cameras and more..

Patrons can get assistance with checking out equipment at The Link in the basement of Perkins Library. If you need help with developing your project, OIT has two multimedia production studios (MPS Labs) for Duke students, faculty and staff. Trained student technicians are on staff to help you with your projects.
